Male Or Female Pattern Baldness Treatments: Some Common Causes of Hair Baldness

Usually, three main factors are responsible for hair baldness that includes genetics, age, and hormonal imbalance. These factors contribute long-term damage to our hair follicles that are very crucial for hair growth.

Most of the men develop this condition in their early 50s, but still, you can have a higher risk of getting this condition if you have a first or second-degree relative with this condition.

The Main Male Or Female Pattern Baldness Treatments Home Remedies

Minoxidil

It’s an FDA Approved treatment for treatment of male pattern baldness. It’s a quite effective treatment option because it stimulates the hair follicles to ensure hair regrowth.

Minoxidil helps to slow down the hair loss however it provides temporary relief because hair loss can return if you stop the use Minoxidil so for best results it’s recommended to take it as a long-term treatment option.

As you know almost every medicine has some adverse reactions, Minoxidil has few minor side effects that can occur in less than 4% of patients including itching, skin rashes, inflammation and burning sensation of the skin.

Finasteride

It’s also an effective treatment option to treat hair baldness that converts testosterone hormone into DTH that will slow down the hair loss.

Like Minoxidil hair loss can return if you stop using finasteride, so it’s recommended to take it as a long-term treatment option.

There are some minor to severe side effects associated with this medicine including fever, chills, leg swelling, hives, erectile dysfunction, low libido, weight gain and many more. Avoid self-medication and always ask your doctor whether you should follow this treatment option or not.

Hair Transplant

It’s the last option to fight baldness in which hair pitches are moved from hairy part of your scalp to balding area. It cannot be done in a single session; you will need to follow several sessions for a successful hair transplant.

Unlike the first two treatment options that we have discussed, its results are permanent. Usually, you will be given a specific dose of local anesthesia before the transplant to numb the scalp to avoid pain.

The most common side effects of hair transplant are bleeding, infection and scarring that are generally treated with a dose of anti-biotic.

Well Balanced Diet

These treatment options will be not enough if you have an unhealthy diet. Our hairs require various nutrients and vitamins for growth. Make sure you are having Vitamin, A, D, C and B complex vitamins in your diet.

You can also take multivitamin and Biotin pills, but we will recommend you to go with natural options to avoid any possible side effects.

Final Words:

Remember, results won’t show up overnight especially in the first two treatment options. Don’t feel low or disappointed because the actual results will show up in 2-3 months after continuous treatment.
