Today, cutting your own hair can be tricky for you because there’s enough amount of hair clipper sizes in the market.

Just imagined that blades are easier? Oh man, think again when you see all these clipper blades too.

Me and Alex have designed a complete guide for you, including a short infographic with guard lengths.

This guide has included the clipper guards and blades of the 3 most popular hair clipper brands – AndisOster, and Wahl.

Andis: sizes of hair clippers

Andis Magnetic guard size chart

We start with the Andis’ most familiar accessory: the brand’s Nanomagnetic combs. The company has classified them into two sets – 5 smaller magnetic guards and 4 longer. The reason these are so admired is their tight and safe fit, durability, and facilitation of more accurate, more comfortable haircuts.

Many people ask me about how much securely these guards clip onto the blade. They usually worry that since there is no clip or buckle that they would pop off mid haircut.

I can guarantee you that these combs are not moving anywhere. In fact, when you need to kill them you have to pull quite difficult to get them off! It’s insane how securely they meet on there from just a small magnet.

Also, they are fitted with some other hair clipper designs. For instance, Andis magnetic guards will meet the Oster Fast Feed without any difficulty. You need to make sure you’ll get the double magnetic guards. Here you can see the Andis magnetic guards size chart as well!

I have already used these with my Oster 76 without any problems regarding clipper sizes or meet the blade.

These ceramic blades for Andis clippers will make you up to 70% cooler blade performance, which is perfect for heavy-duty haircuts.

Another option would be the UltraEdge blades which, however, are not manufactured of this stuff.

The most famous design rocking the CeramicEdge blades is Andis BGRc, an amazing hairdresser clipper we’ve reviewed completely.

Andis detachable blades also suit other top hair clippers like the Oster 76 Classic. Here you can see the ceramic Andis clipper blades size chart to assist you.

These blades are available in all the hair clipper sizes that you would want and are shaped accurately the same as the carbon steel ones.

One word of caution, however, is that they are more delicate than the steel version. If you start your clipper, take a deep look at the blade to make sure none of the teeth have been cracked or cut.

Oster detachable blades are are made of high-carbon steel, they go through freezing cold forms and hard in-house testing. As a result, they are hardened to the magnificent RC62-66 Rockwell Scale.

If that doesn’t deliver anything to you, let’s fix it this way: they’re ultra tough, ultra-sharp, and will serve you for a long time. That’s how the Oster Cryogen X blades operate. As Oster detachable blade clippers have hordes of fans, we’ve collected all Oster clipper blade sizes for your comfort.

This version also stays cooler since it has ridges on the top of the blade that is available in contact with your customer’s head. Basically, it provides air to flow over the blade and keep it quite cool. It is also less possible to move on damp skin since there is less surface space actually treating the skin.

And if you’re surprised: yes, this is a fit Oster Classic 76 blades size chart too.

Many people asked me about “Oster Fast Feed magnetic guards”, as they call it. I’ve explained this earlier: there’s no such thing from Oster. You just get Andis Nano double magnetic combs and utilize them with your Quick Feed clipper. It is quite easy as pie and way better than any plastic comb, in my view.

They’re not quite cheap, but they are so deserving of it. For peace of mind alone, you’ll get more than you give for.
